It is awesome to be scrapping on a regular basis again! I love it!! I finished up my Freaky Friday Challenges over at scrapfreak and wanted to share them with you!

This was last January when we finally got a good snow in Alabama! We were so excited and had so much fun playing in it! Wish it would get cold this year and give us at least one good snow!

This was Labor Day weekend 2000! We flew to Kentucky when E was about 8 weeks old and the Rutherford family go to met our sweet E for the first time! In this picture is Uncle Darrell holding E, Lori and Bay.

Sunday Scriptures

What a wonderful message we got from our guest speaker, Aaron Coe at church this morning! We need to start with ourselves! We need to be on a mission with God. He read from Philippians 2:3-11. We need to be working with Jesus to build his church! Some of the highlights I got from today's sermon are:

v. 3 says we don't need to selfish or try to impress. We need to be humble and consider others better then ourselves.
v. 4 tells us to look out for others not just ourselves.
v. 5 tells us we need to have the same attitude that Jesus had. How do we do that?
v. 6-8 tells us how we need to play the role we are given and our position has to be negotiable.
v. 9-11 shows that Jesus' purpose was exaltation. God elevated Him above all. Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

I want to work to help build His church. I want to help more people know who He is. I am going to start with myself by studying His Word more so that I can share it with others. I will also pray daily for all ears to hear the word of the Lord.

I hope that each of you were blessed this morning and that that blessing will carry you throughout your week!

Rainy Day Scrapping...

So it is another rain filled day here in Alabama! YUCK! I decided to scrap the afternoon away. I found these 2 pictures in an old album and thought they would be perfect to scrap for Baily's book. He misses his Uncle Darrell a lot and talks about him all the time. He was just 5 days old in these pictures. Darrell was helping Lori hold Baily. She was so excited to have a new baby cousin and Darrell was happy to have a nephew.

I know I got carried away with the mist, but what can I say! I love how this LO turned out and can't wait to show everyone when they get home this evening. Thanks to Bird Is The Word for the REMEMBER and thanks to sketchabilities for the awesome sketch!

Sketches make the scrappy world go around! Over at PageMaps Blog they have a fun sketch contest going on and I decided to give it a go. Last January we got our first big snow since moving to Alabama! It was almost 8 inches of snow and boy did we have fun playing in it.

We didn't have a sled (never snows enough here) so we took one of the boys skim boards and hooked it up to the 4 wheeler and had a blast! This LO is of E crashing and burning as they went around the curve to fast.

I also want to give a shout out to my sweet Bay! He is 14 today!

What a fabulous day it has been! The sun has been shining all day long and it isn't super cold out like the other day! Plus, I got my house cleaned this morning and spent the afternoon scrapping! YEAH!

Here is a LO I did for My Mind's Eye Blog Challenge #31. What a fun sketch to work with and I found the perfect picture of my boys to scrap! This is Bay holding E when he was just a couple days old. It was an instant bond between them and I have enjoyed watching it grow over the years!

Here are a couple cards I made! The Wonderful Wednesday Card Challenge over at scrapfreak is to EMBOSS a card! It was a great excuse to get out my cuttlebug embossing folders! Why is it you always forget you have those!?!?

Getting creative...

Thanks to Pinterest I got creative today! I found this cool idea the other day and wanted to give a try with my favorite quote "It's a wonderful life". So here is what I ended up with.

Where has the time gone...

WOW!! It has been 2 months since I blogged! Where has the time gone? I haven't scrapped in 2 months either! Crazy! I quit my job, but have yet to have any time off. I went from lunchlady to full-time Substitute Teacher. I LOVE IT!!!

Life is wonderful! I couldn't be happier! Happy Holidays Everyone!

Hard to believe another 10 on 10 is here!! I was really excited the 10th was on Saturday and today was a fabulous day! I started my day at 12:00 on the way to the baseball fields and ended it at 9:00 with a surprise we found we got home.

So here is Kev and E on the way to his games at 12:00.

1:00 Me and Nat watching our boys play some baseball.

2:00 E getting an awesome out at first. GO E!!

3:00 Getting my baby fix with sweet Easton.

4:00 Double Header over--Rangers won both games!

5:00 My sauce simmering--making lasagna for supper.

6:00 Gav and E jumping in the pool! They are braver than I--with the cooler temps the water has dropped to 72 degrees.

7:00 The moon showed it face and I couldn't resist taking a picture.

8:00 Time to take Gav home and of course E is going to spend the night with him. Those two are great buds!

9:00 Look what we found as we were coming back in after running around dropping off and picking up kiddos. He is a big ole spider with a cool web.

Hot Summer Nights

On this hot August day a lot of time was spent at the pool!! Plus, it was my last day off before back to school so we just hung out and had a good ole day! So here is my 10 on 10!! If you don't know about 10 on 10 go here!

So I started the day off checking out the pool at 9:30! What a beautiful morning!

Had to take Gabby out around 10:30 so decided to clean the skimmers before the boys go swimming!

11:30 Baily was in the pool with Gabby! She loves to swim!

12:30 and time for some PB&J!

I spent the afternoon scrapping and here is where I was at 1:30.

2:30 Time to check my email. Good thing I did because the net went out right after that!

More pool fun at 3:30

So it is 4:30 need to get in and start some supper, but the boys were having a blast doing some crazy jumps into the pool.

Supper is done and it is 5:30 time to take Baily to church for Youth.

Checking on E around 6:30--he is stuck to that PS3!

So that was my day! Not to much going on, but it was a great day!

Hen Party Friday...

Happy Friday everyone!!! It is Hen Party Friday over at scrapchicks! Your challenge for 7.8.11 is "Tool Time"!!! What does that mean? It means dust off those tool you always forget to use and use them on your LO, cards or altered art!

Here is the LO did! I used my sizzix to emboss some stripes of paper and I used my border edge punches!

This is me and my good friend, Christina tubing!! Our husbands were in the boat and trying everything they could to make us wipe up!! We lasted a long time, but finally did wipe out and it was a good wipe out!! We were sore for 2 or 3 days!

Been a hard couple of weeks...

Really not sure how to start this post out! My family and I have been going through a VERY difficult time the last couple of weeks. It all started around lunch Thursday, June 9th. I was at the mall with my boys picking up some last minute things for our big weekend in Kentucky--my 20 year class reunion. My phone rings and it is my niece and she is upset and can hardly talk. My brother-in-law had woke up sick and with in a hour got so bad he was unresponsive. So we left the mall and hit the road to the house, called Kev and told him what was going on. By 2 when were on our way to the hospital in Madisonville. Before we got to far down the road Lori called again and said he was been life-flighted to Barnes Jewish in St. Louis (that is where he had has Bone Marrow Transplant last April).

We got to the hospital around 10:30 and go the news that things were not looking good. Not only did he has pneumonia in both lungs, but he also had some kind of blood infection and it was causing his organs to shut down. We spent the night in the hospital and it was a very rough night--full of ups and downs.

Friday things seemed better and he even became alert so that we were able to have some time with him and he could shake his head to answer us. We all told him how much loved him and wanted him here, but if he was too tired to keep fighting we understand. We all needed that time with him and God gave it to us.

Saturday around lunch things started going down hill again. By mid-afternoon we were told that he was not going to make it that this infection was just too much for him. It was just unbelievable to hear. He had been doing so good for almost a whole year and to just go downhill so fast and so unexpected.

We all gathered around him, touched him, prayed over him and said that it was okay to let go--that we knew where he was going and we could see him again. He passed away while we were all there with him. Over the next few days we made arrangements and laid him to rest.

It has been a little over a week since he died and it still doesn't seem real to me or any of us. We miss him so much, but know he is no longer suffering and that gives us comfort. He fought hard for 3 long years and never complained once, he was an amazing person that we all loved very much. Please pray for my family!

This is my husband, Kev with his brother this past Thanksgiving.

"Wonder" I did this for Sassy Lil Sketches! I loved these two pictures of my boys staring off into the ocean. I often watch them as they daydream and wonder what must be going through their head.

"Lefty Pitcher" is a great sketch for the month of June at scrapchicks! My son loves to pitch, but I am a nervous wreck the whole time.

"Proud Girl" is the sketch just revealed today at Sketchy Thursdays! This is my niece! She spent the week with us and went to VBS on the last night her crew leader, Erica gave her that bible. She just loves it. She has had it a year now and it is worn out from carrying it everywhere!

Border Punch Flowers

I decided to try something new with flowers!

I love to make flowers. I took a one ich strip of paper and used one of my border punches on it. Than pleated it around to make it in a flower shape. Topped it off with a button! I thought they turned out pretty cute!

Power is back!!

So I am 3 days late getting WO #43 posted, but we just got the power back on today!! Yes that is right we have had no power since Wednesday, April 27 when all those storms/tornado's hit Alabama!

Luckily, I can say that we had very little damage! Thank you Lord! We lost our trampoline and had a yard full of big limbs, but none fell on the house. We were all safe and that is all that mattered.

Everyone has some old photo's laying around they want to scrap and that is what WO #42 is all about. So grab that photo and get to scrapping! A fun week of scrapping...

Last week was just awesome! I got to scrap 3 different days and had so much fun! Most of my LO's were inspired by my scrapchick friends! The March class over there is "Inspired By" and it has been so much fun! Check it out here!

So it is time to Glitter and Glam it up over at scrapFIT! That is what Workout #39 is all about! Sara loves things that are sparkly and glamorus--along with most girls. I am not a glitter and glam girl, but I tried to bring it for this LO. My little niece, Emmalyn is all sparkle in her newborn picture! I used my glitter thickers, some ink and some stickles on my flowers.

Here are a couple of other LO's I did for Tally Survivor and Scrap Chicks. This first one was tough for me, because I don't like to scrap the not so good memories, but it was good for me to scrap about this! I love my daddy with all my heart and I know that he loves me, but when I tell him I love him all I get back is "me 2 Kelly Bea, me 2". Why are those 3 little words so hard to say! I just want to hear it from him.

This is a special moment in downtown Nashville. Kev and the boys arm in arm walking down the sidewalk. It is great to catch those special moments and make it a forever memory!

Time for Workout #38 over at scrapFIT Workout Blog! The challenge is to "Kick the winter blues" with a color challenge! Sara said that this time of year everyone has that cabin fever and is in need of some fresh colors! So here are you colors---gReEn, YeLlOw, OrAnGe, ReD & wHiTe!

These can be used in any shade just go and have some fun with these colors!

With Spring just around the corner I went with the lighter more pastel colors. Plus, I love this picture of my boys one spring afternoon in 2005. My camera made everything black and white except for the green which I thought turned out really cool!

Big Blue Scrap Day!

So this was from October 2009 and it sure was a great time!! We live in Alabama, but are born and raised Kentucky people that are huge Kentucky Wildcat fans! In 2009 the Wildcats played Auburn at Auburn and we were lucky enough to get tickets to the game. Boy was it a great game, we won! I believe it was the first time in about 40 years that we beat Auburn in Football. We loved it!!!

My first 5K...

The journey started about 3 months ago! It was November 7th, 2010 I decided to check my weight and was NOT happy at all with what I saw! So the next day I started the C25K Program. The first week was rough. I was so out of shape--what happened to that fit girl that loved to run! Over the last 3 months I have found her! I have also lost 10 lbs, dropped a pant size and found my happy! Don't get me wrong I am a very happy and positive person, but I forgot about myself and that it is imporant to be proud yourself and happy with yourself.

Well today was the big race! What I had worked for the last 3 months. I was so nervous when I got there. So many people were there--luckily I had a few friends running the race, too. At the starting line I heard the "Ready, Set, Go" and I was off. It was so cold and windy, but I was doing good. As I approached the 1 mile mark I heard a guy calling out times and wondered how close I was to my normal 11:22 time. I was surprised and so HAPPY when I heard him say 10:31, 32, 33. Wow--I was doing okay! Around the loop I went and as I approached mile 2 I heard him say 21:12, 13, 14. I was doing alright! One more lap to go! As I finished my 3rd mile it was exactly 33:00, 01, 02. Just need to climb that hill one more time and I would be done! Oh, it was such a hill for the end of the race, but I climbed it and the time was 34:08.

I had done it! I had ran a WHOLE 5K and it felt awesome! I was so happy--so proud of myself! Then to see my son and husband there as I finished and the looks on there faces--it was perfect!

January was a great month for me. I got my scrap on and loved it! I am hoping to get more scrapping done in February. Actually, I have been joining in on all the fun challenges at scrap chicks! My LO is a picture of my boys at the beach! Every year about this time I start dreaming of those awesome clear blue waters, white sand and peaceful fun family times. So I did a simple and peaceful LO of the boys enjoying a day at the beach! I sure can't wait for summer vacation to get here--that means more beach fun!

I have this awesome picture of my son that I wanted to scrap and it worked out perfect for this WO. I used strip's of MME, Crate Paper and Bo Bunny for this Workout. I made a basket weave at the bottom and have my little row of embellies.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow...

They had been calling for it all week, but I refused to get my hopes up! Now that it is here and still falling I am so HAPPY!!! A real snow storm in Alabama! I just had to share with everyone! It started about 9:00 PM and by 10:15 it looked like this...

Big HUGE 1/2 Dollar size snow flakes. Bay was so excited he wanted to sleep by the door!

Now it is about 12:30 and it looks like we have at least 5 inches and it is still coming down! I am going to try to get some sleep, but I am like a kid at Christmas! lol

I can't wait to wake up in the morning and measure the snow and than build a snowman with Kevin and the boys!

Well, I am back in the game!! Got to scrap another afternoon!! Love being able to have a little scrappy time. Here are a couple of LO's I did New Year's Day.

I am working on revamping my blog and I am so excited. Be with me as I learn how to do this. I have a phrase that I just love. Even have a sign in my kitchen that has it on it. We will see!!

Oh I have some exciting news, too. Although I am no longer the Head Coach over a scrapFIT I will be part of the FITgirl Team!! I am so excited to be on the other side and get to do the Workouts that Sara has created! She had dubbed me "The Original FITgirl"--I like it! Thanks Sara!

Here is the LO I created! I picked a holiday tradition. Every year we do a photo Christmas Card that we send out to family and friends. Each year I save one copy and HOPE that I don't forget where I put it! So when this Workout came around I knew just what I wanted to do. I used a "dog tag" chain from some chipboard to put together our photo cards on the LO. This way I can add more cards to it as the years go by! On the back of each card I journaled the year and a little about taking that picture(s).

What a lazy day we had today!! After church it was just a relaxed day at home. I scrapped, Kevin peddled around the house and the boys did there skateboarding.

It's been a scrap happy day...

Okay after working my tail off in yard yesterday I woke up sore and decided I need some scrap therapy today!! I especially wanted to scrap after getting my 3 Scrappy Boys October Main Kit in the mail yesterday afternoon. Woohoo! So I got my scrap on with this awesome kit and I also got a few LO's and a card for Freakspiration done!!!

My daddy is turning 60 Monday so I made him this fun card...

It is Workout Time again!!! We have a super fun good for the Earth Workout for you, too!! Yall know I love to use ribbon so for this fun LO I made one of my ribbon flowers! I love how it turned out. These are some of my favorite pictures of the boys!

I am doing the Tally Scrapper "So you think you can scrap" Contest and Challenge 1 was to do a an 8.5x11 LO with a wallet size picture, using buttons, and orange. The title had to be "So You Think You Can...", too. Here is what I came up with.

Seeing Double? No you are not!! Since my albums are all 12x12 I decided to turn this into a 12x12 for E's album. So I added a 12x12 paper and some more buttons.

I was so glad to get to scrap today. I did 2 more LO's but they will have to be revealed at a later date! Have a great week everyone!

Sassy Lil' Sketches 28th Reveal was Monday and I couldn't resist using the sketch for a ball LO I had been wanting to do. Last summer my boys played on the same ball team and it will probably never happen again so I wanted to capture the moment in a LO!

First off let me just say that we have had an amazing week with Nadya being here with us!!! Than my brother and his family came down yesterday and spent the night with us before heading back home this afternoon with Nadya. This is us after E's ball game (minus my hubster who was headed for the car/air conditioning). Can't wait to get together with them again!

Today is the start of my weekend since I only work Monday and Tuesday during the summer!! Woohoo!!! So I got up and cleaned house, did laundry and than did a couple LO's!! One I can show you now and the other will have to wait until reveal day for Workout #23 over at scrapFIT!

Here is a LO I did using this weeks sketch over at Sassy Lil' Sketches! It is me and Ann last year at the Scrapbook Expo in Atlanta!! I thought the paper was perfect since we were like busy little workers bees running around scrapbook shopping and taking classes for two days!! What a blast we had, will miss not going this year.

This is my Gal Pal's Mini Album. It is all about my favorite group of people!! Been friends with them since I was 10 years old. We were all super close from age 10 to our 20's when we all started going in different directions. A few of us stayed really close no matter the distance and thanks to Facebook most all of us have reconnected. I wouldn't trade these girls for nothing--we have been through just about everything together!

Daddy's Boy

This is one of my most favorite pictures!! Baily was about 8 weeks old and he just loved his daddy!! Kevin would come home from work, change and just hold him every day. He was our first born son, Kevin's pride and joy! So this is a special picture and Lo for me!

I used my June Trio Kit from 3 Scrappy Boys for this LO. I also got to use my sewing machine and my cricut!! Without realizing it this LO covers some challenges over at Treasured Scrapbooking--Julie's Sew Simple and Shelly's Tell me a Story. It is also the Page Maps LO Contest.

A day of scrappin'...

Yesterday was a scrap happy day for me!! I scrapped for about 3 to 4 hours. LOVED IT!!! Here is what I got done...

It was great to spend an entire afternoon scrapbooking today!!! WOOHOO!!! I did a LO for Sassy Lil' Sketches this afternoon. This was a fun LO!! Our Sunday School class had a Valentin'es Progressive Dinner and ended the evening with the Newlywed Game. Only a couple of us were actual newlywed's so it made for an interesting night!!

Workout #21 Exercise Machine

Can u believe that June is here already?!?! Where did this year go? We finished up school Thursday and headed for the beach later that night. We just got home and I am trying to get laundry done and things unpacked. SOOOOOO glad that summer break is here!!! I plan to do a lot of scrapping!!

NE way here is what I did for Workout #21 "Exercise Machines"

For this WO you must use a “machine”. What machines you might ask? Punches, Cuttlebug, Sizzix, Slice, Cricut—any or all will do. I used my Cricut to cut out the title, a border punch and my distresser!

I am back--hopefully I wil never be away that long again! I have been covered up like crazy lately! The whole month of April I scrapped maybe 3 hours. Isn't that sad!!! I am working on balancing this busy life out so I can get on track with everything.

I have a son that is going into middle school this fall and he has decided to play football. Well they have had spring training this whole month--practice everyday from 3:20-5:30. Than my other son play on a travel baseball team and they practice twice a week and have tourneys every other weekend. Plus, I work a full time job. We have been making trips to Kentucky and the list goes on. So it has been run, run, run. Plus, I got strep and virus one week. Last week we ALL had a stomach bug. JUST CRAZY!!

I do have some amazing news to share to with everyone. My BIL got his test results back and he is in REMISSION!!! Can you believe it! After almost 3 years, a bone marrow transplant and a very rough year he is cancer free!!! Thanks to everyone for all there prayers and thoughts! God is good! Please continue to pray as he is recovering from the eye disease and the host vs. graft disease. The doctors also said he has some bad lung damage that will have to be monitored. We are just so happy!

Getting my scrap on...

It was a rainy yucky day when I got up Saturday so I got to scrap some!! YIPPIE!! Life is so busy lately so it was nice to spend the morning in my scraproom!

I did this LO for Tally Idol #6 over at Tally Scrappers. No rockband could ever be better than they one who plays in my garage!

This LO I did for a couple different places. It was sketch #54 Scrapbook Deals 4 U and also worked out for Gingers April Challenge at Treasured Scrapbooking!

Here are a couple more I did in the last week or so that I haven't had time to post.
